Siberia

Kus on metsikud mehed?

As always, Ben joins a variety of brave folks who chose to venture down a very alternative path to everyday life. The aim is to discover the reality of leaving it all behind, and meet those who have chosen to ditch a life dominated by debts and the daily grind to go in search of something different. This week, Ben travels to northeast Siberia to visit maverick scientist Nikita, a former maths student who was living in the city when his father asked for his help with an extraordinary scientific experiment in one of the most remote places on the planet—the Russian Arctic. Ben witnesses Nikita's efforts to stop the permafrost—the frozen ground that covers most of the region—from thawing due to global warming. He joins in an ambitious plan to tame this harsh environment, with the help of steam machines, monster trucks, and the idea of bringing back the woolly mammoth.
