Peru (Desert)
Kus on metsikud mehed?
In the first episode, Ben travels to a remote stretch of the Peruvian coastline, where the dramatic dunes of the Atacama desert abruptly meet the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean, to spend time with young British couple Scott and Casey. The pair left their lives growing up in wet and grey English to pursue a life of travel and extreme sports, but after six years of globetrotting, they gambled their life savings on running a kite-surf school in Peru. Ben finds out that living in their idea of paradise isn't free from compromise. Staying in the couple's simple plywood house in a ramshackle neighbourhood recovering from a natural disaster, Ben finds out what keeps them in this dusty spot on an isolated peninsula. Scott reveals a career in the Army that saw him deployed to Afghanistan, and Casey reflects on an earlier, angry version of herself who would only live for the weekend. As well as getting involved with the day-today running of their school, Ben becomes Scott and Casey's student, attempting to expand on his impressive list of achievements by getting out on the water. But kite-surfing is harder than it looks…
