Kus on metsikud mehed?
In the last programme of the current series, Ben travels to County Galway on Ireland's west coast to stay with 40-year-old Mark Boyle, a 'money-less' author who has turned his back not just on the city, but on every bit of technology that comes with it. Mark gave up everything he owned to embark on a money-free experiment, writing about his experiences – and with the proceeds he bought his off-grid plot of land. Ben embraces Mark's frugal lifestyle – collecting water, sparse winter foraging, fishing, sheep-wrangling and writing by candle-light. And in doing so, Ben discovers an intellectual, a writer, a philosopher and, above all, that Mark is an 'everyman' who makes us feel we could all achieve a simpler way of life.
