This week Ben meets the Powell family who are creating a wilderness home and legacy in a Welsh mountain valley; Britain's only living cave man Will, 50, who lives a wild existence in rural Suffolk; Philip, 46, a unique islander living on an equally extraordinary island off the coast of Scotland; and Kezz, 43, & Nathalie, 40, 'alternative' woodsmen in Northumberland. Ben wants to discover the reality of leaving it all behind and meet those who've chosen to ditch a life dominated by debts and the daily grind and go in search of something different. Adventurer Ben Fogle journeys to the Black Mountains, Wales, to live with Keith, 53, and Em, 44, and their 4 young sons. They traded their careers as vets for an off-grid existence in a hidden valley. Ben will discover their stunningly designed wild home, the challenges they face and how they are attempting to leave their mark on the world, using the extraordinary land around them. Ben climbs into a ravine to maintain the family's hydro electrics, eats a camp-fire cook-out, goes wild swimming, explores the forest with the spirited kids, and helps plant the biggest new woodland in Wales for a generation.
